The Huntress 'A Convenient Truth'

To doubt everything or to believe everything
 are two equally convenient solutions;
both dispense with the necessity of reflection.
The great irony of the human condition is that people who are meant to be together
may not find each other at the proper em
otional time to fully realize the potential
of their feelings for each other. In the beginning we'll find any excuse to spend time
with one another, but in time we find 'convenient truths' to use as a catalyst
to justify time apart or a total dissolution of the relationship.

In fitness 'convenient truths' come in the form of excuses like,

H.I.I.T. is too strenuous,
CROSS FIT is dangerous.
Free weights will make me look like a body builder.
Power lifting will slow me down.
Yoga is for girls.

Are there things science shouldn't try to explain?
Science is knowledge and knowledge is power,
power to do good or evil.
Sometimes ignorance is bliss.
 -Paul Davies-

H.I.I.T is the fastest way to fitness.
Cross Fit causes muscle confusion that helps push you past  training plateaus.
Steroids make you look like a body builder.
Power lifting enhances explosive movement which enhances 'initial' speed.
Tonight it's raining glass on the forgotten side of town,
as a mind creates the third point of the triangle.

Heffalumps "The Mighty Pen..............."

'The Pen is Mightier than the Sword'

'Heffalumps and Woozles' and 'Heffalumps Revisited' were blog posts from 2012
recently they've been getting a lot of attention.
http://fearsltd.blogspot.com/2012/08/heffalumps-and-woozles.html

http://fearsltd.blogspot.com/2012/09/heffalumps-revisited.html

I recently received this email.........

"Did you not think I read those stories?
The heffalump was in reference to me to mock me,
after seeing how much weight I had gained."

My response:
'The Heffalump' and 'Heffalumps Revisited' were about negative body image.
Heffalumps were actually 'dream villans' that haunt Winnie the Pooh in his dreams.
According to Tigger they love honey and always want to steal it. .

In the end of the dream Pooh wakes up eats some honey and says
 'what a wonderful dream'

The back story is,
When your in a relationship your in a 'mental fog' seeing things your way.
Like Poohs dream when you wake up, or your over 'it'
everything is OK cause all the negative shit was in your head anyway.

In my story the honey is my happiness,
If you're the heffalump that would imply you were trying to steal
my happiness (honey), by haunting my dreams.

In the end Pooh woke up and was happy in spite of 'the Heffalump'

Years later Christopher Robin told 'Pooh
it was all in his head and that Heffalumps didn't even exist.

The Huntress : The Face of Fear

Learn your way around your emotions.
Make a map of them.
Welcome to the human experience.
Never use someones emotions as a scratching post
 for your own yearnings.

Adapted from a quote by
-Elizabeth Gilbert-

Fight and flight responses assume a wide range of behaviors.
The fight response may be manifested in angry, argumentative behavior,
The flight response may be manifested through social withdrawal,
substance abuse, and even television viewing....lol

Be careful who you trust
The Devil was once an Angel

The mapping of human emotions reveals a strong mind body connection

FEARS training has A.S.R.(Adrenal Stress Response) drills .
We inoculate the trainee to the effects of the 'Chemical Cocktail' .
The goal is to familiarize the trainee with the effects of
'the adrenalin dump' that occurs during a conflict.

In sales the issues I deal with stem from poor relationships
between managers (people with titles) and the people they manage.
Trust is such a huge word.............
 it either means something,
or destroys it.

Deep caring comes easily at a relationship’s beginning.
Lust and novelty keep us attentive to each other when we fall in love.
It’s in the next phase, when routines and irritations set in,
that protective love is tested.
Deep connectedness, feeling our partner’s triumphs/setbacks as ours,
is a hallmark of the early stages of love.
We're careful with our words and behavior and take care not to hurt the other.
Remaining this attuned to a partner takes energy and commitment.

The quality of a person's life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence, regardless of their chosen field of endeavor.

Fearless Fitness/Martial Arts: The Huntress

The Huntress

As human beings we all want to be happy and free from misery, we have learned the key to happiness is inner peace.
The greatest obstacles to inner peace are disturbing emotions such as anger, attachment, fear and suspicion,
while love compassion and a sense of universal responsibility are the sources of peace and happiness.
-Dalai Lama-

In martial arts we employ the warrior, scholar, monk triad
to guide our training and keep ourselves in balance.
If you go beyond echoing wisdom cliches and really use this principle as a guide,
you'll maximize your self defense skills and empower your life.

Our country employs triad principles in the structure of it's C.I.A.
The C.I.A. triad is, Confidentiality, Integriy and Availability,
three principles that should be guaranteed in any kind of secure system.
If any of the three are breached it can have serious consequences for those involved.

Clarity is a sublime experience but it can't be forced.
Emotional processing is organic, it involves both conscious
and subconscious processing, and.......... it takes time.

When we are divided by conflicting emotions your brain and heart become a yo-yo.
You go from misery to hours of excitement and planning.

It's even more difficult for control freaks like me,
because your not just dealing with conflicted feelings but also with
dealing with being overwhelmed by this complete lack of control.
Feelings are not ruled by understanding.
Feelings are ruled by emotions.

As much as the control freak in me may wish otherwise
it's actually a good thing we cant control our emotions because
 thats what makes us human.
