I've been doing 'weighted walking' each day for about an hour with the I pod,

The time with tunes drowning out the voices in your head and enhances creativity.

It was during one such walk  I remembered this story from 'the road.'

I  was getting off the elevator of the hotel and sitting on the couch in the hospitality suite 

was a beautiful blonde woman crying softly.

Of course the white knight takes over and I sit next to her and ask if shes o.k. .

Apparently her fiance' (a cowboy) was being prosecuted for stalking,

and was likely going to prison.

The story went on and on and my attention drifted in and out of the conversation.

Until I noticed an unusual scar on her shoulder.

When I inquired about the scar she told me she was

BORN WITHOUT SKIN  !!!!

So being kind, considerate and with my most sincere tone.

I told her I was born without bones.

She looked amazed !!! 

I then told her I was adopted and wouldn't ya know she was too !

The tears started to roll down her cheeks.

I said, "What's wrong ?"

And then It happened.........

She looked up with tear filled eyes and said,

"Maybe were twins !"

In these times of instant gratification, 

fast food fitness (8 min abs,)

D.V.R.s. binge watching T.V.ect ;

It's easy to be fooled by the fake images / personas created by fancy online profiles

 or

 The manipulative games people play on/with one another in business and relationships trying to serve their own selfish agendas

 Both are reprehensible to me. 

Rank, titles and awards are window dressing.

My approach to martial arts, my approach to fitness, my approach to love and life may be 

unbridaled, unorthodox and occasionally

offensive but......

With me what you see is what you get.

I recently had a 'situation' ..............


There's a hacker in East Falmouth !!
(well thats what his facebook page says)

This guys email contains a virus, a trojan horse.... 12 of them !!!
He hacked me, stole my contacts, corrupted my phone and
using my 'friends list' corrupted all my social networking accounts !! 

This is what he sent me:

Hey you!

Apparently we cannot be friends in real life until we are friends on Facebook... 

...I'm not sure who made that social rule but I am going to blame Mark Zuckerberg for it ;) 

Anyway, I want to be sure we are friends on Facebook.

Because of where this hacker guy is supposed to live I thought I was being hacked

 by 'someone who knew me', kind of a cyber reach around from 
'the other side of 'the triangle'.

Growing up, Dennis Alexio (former undisputed world heavyweight champion)
was a huge Joe Lewis fan !! Joe went to one of Alexios' title fights and was
turned away at the dressing room door like he was nothing....

Joe Lewis was the greatest Karate fighter of all time.

 Do you think Mike Tyson knew he was 'meeting his replacement'
when he stepped into the ring with Buster Douglas ?

I'm a person that gets better with practice.

Getting older is awesome ......

Because you get more practice !!

We all Jump up with a One, Two, Three !

Sounds like a harmless childrens' story .

The first verse refers to death at the hands of the 'Black Plauge'.

The roses were to cover the smell of ensuing death.

The last verse refers to resurrection.

I remember feeling anxious every time I went in the ring, like it was the first time.
Even though I was in superior condition and the crowd was on my side.

We need to be absolute in our knowledge of

our capabilities and limitations.

 We need to know the enemy

Pre attack indicators, common tactics, and deceptions.

Those who forget the lessons of the past

 are doomed to relive them.

In training we repeat the same patterns,

 the same exercises expecting a different result.

In relationships the grass is greener, that is till we all fall down.

Then we resurrect ourselves and blindly try to find a solution

 by recreating the same situation expecting a different result.

The percentage of phrases used to heal a relationship,

 give way to those that will likely destroy it.

Even by ending the relationship in time to avoid further damage,

 the negative patterns return over and over in each ensuing relationship.

In the end were all just 7 pints of blood in a meat suit,
so if you don't mind it don't matter.

Words As Weapons

Stories don't end on the last page anymore than 

they begin on the first page.

We sometimes fail to remember that we have the power of life

 and death in our tongues and keyboards.

 I think it's probably a good idea to remember that we need to have love,

 faith and understanding of ourselves and to share it selflessly. 

No matter what your own perception of personal truth. 

 It's far to easy to use words as weapons especially right before 'a fall'.

 We are hard wired to resist change and when things don't go our way we tend to drag others down with us, usually it's the ones we care about the most.

The people we care about are just as troubled and insecure as we are.

Rope - a - Dope

Ali 'lost his legs' after a period of inactivity in his career.

He didn't float like a butterfly any more.

Because of this he used  legendary fighter, Archie Moores' strategy

Moore called the maneuver  'the turtle', Ali called it 'rope a dope'.

Instead of moving around the ring Ali fought leaning back against the ropes

 taking most of Foremans' heaviest blows.

It worked, he won but in essence he sacrificed himself for the win.

.......In the end Superman dies anyway, it isn't a fairy tale.

In the street the trophy is your life try to do and say the right thing along the way.

 Were all just livin'.

I tell my daughter Alli , "We do the right thing cause it's the right thing to do."

Now I've gotta learn to 'walk that walk.'
