As human beings we all want to be happy and free from misery, we have learned the key to happiness is inner peace.
The greatest obstacles to inner peace are disturbing emotions such as anger, attachment, fear and suspicion,
while love compassion and a sense of universal responsibility are the sources of peace and happiness.
-Dalai Lama-
In martial arts we employ the warrior, scholar, monk triad
to guide our training and keep ourselves in balance.
If you go beyond echoing wisdom cliches and really use this principle as a guide,
you'll maximize your self defense skills and empower your life.
Our country employs triad principles in the structure of it's C.I.A.
The C.I.A. triad is, Confidentiality, Integriy and Availability,
three principles that should be guaranteed in any kind of secure system.
If any of the three are breached it can have serious consequences for those involved.
Clarity is a sublime experience but it can't be forced.
Emotional processing is organic, it involves both conscious
and subconscious processing, and.......... it takes time.
When we are divided by conflicting emotions your brain and heart become a yo-yo.
You go from misery to hours of excitement and planning.
It's even more difficult for control freaks like me,
because your not just dealing with conflicted feelings but also with
dealing with being overwhelmed by this complete lack of control.
Feelings are not ruled by understanding.
Feelings are ruled by emotions.
As much as the control freak in me may wish otherwise
it's actually a good thing we cant control our emotions because
thats what makes us human.
